How our software handles your data
- Passthrough only: Our software acts solely as a conduit for your data – it never stores or retains the data it transmits.
- Your data remains under your control: All data captured, processed, or transmitted by our software stays on your local system or is sent only to the destinations you explicitly configure.
- No cloud dependencies: Our software operates independently without requiring connection to TALtech servers.
- No hidden data collection: We don’t collect operational data, usage statistics, or any information from your data streams.
- Local processing only: All data processing occurs on your own hardware, within your own network boundaries. None of our products store your data.

Instrument data collection software (WinWedge, HID‑ScaleWedge, TCP‑Wedge/WinWedge Pro, COM‑File, TCP‑File)
These data acquisition products operate with complete data privacy by design:
- All data transmission occurs locally on your computer or within your network
- Data flows only between the devices and destinations you specifically configure
- No data is ever transmitted to TALtech or over the internet unless you deliberately configure external destinations (such as sending data into a web form or cloud-based application)
- All configuration settings are stored locally on your computer
- When sending data to applications like Excel, databases, or web forms, the data securely travels only to those specific destinations you establish. Users should take steps to ensure the security and privacy of their destinations.
TCP‑Com networking software
TCP‑Com maintains the same privacy standards:
- Creates virtual communication channels exclusively within your local network
- No data traverses TALtech servers or external networks
- All connections remain within the boundaries you define
- TCP-Com does not retain the data it transmits
B‑Coder Pro barcode software
Our barcode generation software follows the same approach:
- All barcode data creation and processing occurs locally on your device
- Generated barcodes and associated data remain entirely within your system
- Barcode information is never transmitted externally.
